burden basket

5/2/2012

Picture
that small soapstone woman
bearing the burden basket
carved by unknown ancient hand
watches me diligently

her wisdom haunts
my every decision
leaving me but one choice:
to each day
ease the basket
from my shoulders
remove the day’s accumulation
that she may rest

I really love this little poem.....we all need to empty our baskets and ease our burdens!
